Who we are

Degorgeaeris publishes an independent economics journal from Low Coylton, Coylton, Ayr KA6 6LE, UK. Contact the editor at [email protected]. We are not registered as a limited company; the data controller is Degorgeaeris at that address.

What we collect

If you email us, we process the content of the message, your email address, and any name you give, in order to reply. If you use the contact form, your device opens a draft in your own email client; we receive the message only if you send it. We do not run an account system, a paywall, or a mailing-list database on this site.

Cookies

We set one local preference in your browser, under the key degorgeaeris_consent, so that the cookie notice does not reappear on every visit. It is stored with the Web Storage API on your device, not on our server. We do not use advertising cookies, social pixels, or third-party analytics packages. Embedded type and icon files are loaded from fonts.bunny.net and cdn.jsdelivr.net; those providers may see your IP address as a consequence of the request.

Lawful basis

Correspondence is processed under legitimate interests: we cannot answer a letter we are not allowed to read. If you ask us to delete a message, we will, unless we must keep it to establish, exercise or defend a legal claim.

Retention

Editorial email is kept for up to two years, then deleted, unless a longer period is required for a correction record. We do not sell data and we do not pass it to brokers.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you may ask for access, rectification, erasure, restriction or objection, and you may complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk. To exercise a right, write to [email protected] with enough detail for us to find the record.

Transfers

Email in transit may pass through processors outside the UK. We do not operate servers that store your correspondence as a structured marketing file. Hosting of this static site may involve infrastructure in the United Kingdom or the European Economic Area.

Children

The journal is written for adult readers of public-policy material. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
